The Trinidad and Tobago Commonwealth Games Association (TTCGA) today officially ratified the TeamTTO delegation for the 2026 Commonwealth Games during a virtual General Council meeting.
The delegation reflects a blend of experienced elite athletes and promising debutants, underscoring TeamTTO's continued commitment to competitive excellence and athlete development on the international stage.
A total delegation of 60 members will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the Games, which will take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 3, 2026. The delegation comprises 36 athletes (17 men and 19 women) and 24 officials (14 men and 10 women).
TeamTTO athletes will compete in the following sports:
- Athletics (Track & Field)
- Boxing
- Cycling
- Gymnastics
- Judo
- Netball
Leading the delegation as Chef de Mission is Chanelle Young, a former Trinidad and Tobago national youth footballer and accomplished sport administrator. Young previously served as Chef de Mission at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires and has accumulated extensive experience in sports administration through her work with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee and later with Panam Sports, one of the world's largest multisport organizations.
Young will be supported by Deputy Chef de Mission Rhonda Clarke, Press Attaché Melanie Gulston, and a dedicated medical team led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Candice Williams.

In commenting on the announcement, Young said:
"It is a tremendous honour to lead TeamTTO as Chef de Mission at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. I would firstly like to congratulate all the athletes who have been selected to represent TTO at the Games. Our athletes have worked tirelessly to earn this opportunity, and our management and support staff remain committed to providing the environment and resources necessary for them to perform at their best".
"As we head into the Games to compete against the best in the Commonwealth, my hope is that our athletes will represent our nation with pride, resilience, and the unwavering spirit that inspires future generations".
The team, consisting of athletes and officials based both locally and abroad, will begin departing for Scotland from July 19, 2026. Upon arrival in Glasgow, TeamTTO will complete its final preparations ahead of the Opening Ceremony on July 23 and the commencement of competition.
